Week 33

Week 33 brought lots of excitement. First we had the shower for my side of the family. We could not have asked for anything more...we are so blessed and fortunate for all the stuff we have its ridiculous. We came home that Saturday night and were pooped...but then Sunday mom came back over and we went through everything again and it was just so much fun. Mom and Todd put together the swing and the travel system, organized a lot of the stuff and cleaned what we could. It was so much fun!!!

The shower was so much fun that I think i ended up overdoing it just a little bit. A little bit too much bending and reaching and walking...Saturday night i was pretty sore...just chalked it up to being tired. As the night went on I became more and more sore and the little contractions i'd been having for weeks started to have a lot of back pain associated with them. Sunday morning and day brought pretty much the same thing. A LOT of pressure down there and in my back, lots of back pain, lots of tightness. I thought to be safe i'd call the nurse and see if i should come in.

Monday morning i got a call back from the nurse and she told me to definitley come in for a little so i left work at 10:30 that morning and headed to the doc by myself just to get checked up. After the doc came in and checked me he said I was actually between 1 and 2 centimeters dilated and was 80% effaced...for fear that i was in a little preterm labor he sent me straight over to the hospital to get checked out. Once they hooked me up to the machines they realized my contractions were about 3-5 minutes apart and i was definitely going to continue into full labor if they didnt slow them down. All this going on and i had no idea!

So basically i stayed over night in the hospital, they gave me some meds to slow the contractions down, which worked...they gave me some shots of steroids to help the baby's lungs along just in case and sent me on my way Tues afternoon with my prescription to take for another 2 weeks to keep the contractions down.

Lastly, they threw in that i was done working. Nothing but bed rest for me from here on out. Not exactly what i wanted to hear, but whatever baby needs at this point. So that will be my life until baby comes...no driving, no cleaning, no nothing...just eat, sleep, bathroom and shower...thats the extent of my life...poor Toddles...

Here's a couple pictures of Week 33 and also from the shower...
