Week 39

UGH...Week 39 has come and gone and the little stinker is still clinging on. We had our appt Wed morning and a few things had progressed so they sent me over to be monitored for a little, but after a few hours and no changes they just sent me home. They think i'm in the first stage of labor, but nothings moving fast enough so here i wait.

Week 39 pics along with a couple others, the updated one of Toddles and myself as well as a Memorial Day family shot. Had the parentals over here on Monday for some cookout food. Was a REALLY nice time. Great weather, great food...company was ok too :D had a real real nice day.

Week 38

Week 38 brings yet another weekly check up with yet another ride home just Toddles and myself :D its good though at this point i can at least do stuff again and dont have to worry about bringing on early labor. i'm still being careful just cause i dont want to hurt baby or anything obviously, but i'm at least doing little things around the house again. last night i made Todd go for a walk with me and it felt so good to get out at least.

We had our check up this morning and all is great...baby is still doing wonderful, just swimming laps and cozy. Next week they'll do an internal check so hopefully at that point it will egg something on!

I'm also taking both belly shots and updated pictures with Todd at this point just to make sure i have them with him cause i dont feel like i have many with him during the pregnancy so just in case!

LOOK HOW HUGE THAT GUT IS!

Week 37

FULL TERM! So it seems as though baby was super impatient about 3 weeks ago but now the little stinker is holding on for dear life. Nothing exciting this week at the check up. Just listened to the heart beat and that was about it. Off the meds now...contractions have picked back up but nothing consistant or countable, so here in my chair is where I stay...most the time :D Now that its 'OK' to have baby, i've been a little more active...I CANT STAND SITTING HERE!

Just two other pictures also...one with Toddles and the other of him sleeping on the couch with me Saturday night. He decided to be supportive and sleep downstairs with me the one night since i've been down here for a month now. One night of his snoring and i sent him back upstairs though :D

good effort :P

Week 36

Week 36 brought much of the same...I ended up running to the store with mom for a short while Friday morning to get some last minute things so that was GREAT! i felt so much better about things once i had those last few things at home!

We also got to finish up the nursery for the most part. Only thing left to do is get the book case but thanx to Dad and Linda being super organized and keeping receipts on stuff they bought they were able to help me figure out where it was online so i just need to wait til it goes on sale!

Dad and Gram came up to visit for the weekend so that was great. We had lots of fun as usual. They were supposed to go watch the boys play hockey but a couple last minute injuries to Todd's foot and Tony's knee kept us all at home together. We watched both hockey games on Friday and Saturday night. Poor Caps. Poor Dad. Ok i'm over it ...GO PENS!!!!!

Mom was awesome...she knew i'd be useless so she brought over pans of food on Friday for us to all eat so Todd wouldnt be ashamed again of our horrible hosting abilities. It was a great weekend all around. Here are some pics...for week 36...then also some of the nursery and a few of the fam from the visit...

We have our check up tomorrow morning (Tuesday the 12th) and then i'll be 37 weeks (considered full term) on Wed...so thats really exciting. Baby did good staying in there for 3 more weeks!!!

Week 35

Week 35 brought lots of sitting on the couch, watching TV, eating, and Todd's side of the family's baby shower! so one of those things was pretty exciting :D We yet again had another GREAT shower where we received tons of great gifts. I can honestly tell you that we dont need a THING. Its pretty amazing how considerate people are. We had just expected since day one that we'd be purchasing most of our stuff off our registry because there was just so much on there and there was no WAY we'd get so much of it...but LITTLE DID WE KNOW!

Todd ended up coming with me to this shower so i wouldnt have to do anything...it ended up working out great. I sat in the chair beside him and he did all the work. It was great!

Afterwards we came home and crashed for the night. Sunday I had to wait for Todd to wake up and then we went through everything all over again. Did the organizing, Todd built the bouncy seat, the high chair, umbrella stroller, pack and play, travel swing, pretty much everything he could. He was having fun...we also just went through everything else and got to really organize some stuff, throw it all in the washer then head upstairs to put it all away. so once that was done we took a break for lunch. Then Todd and his dad went to pick up the tall dresser. Once they returned they set up the nursery and got all the furniture where it needed to go...then we started to put some things away. Got all the onesies in a drawer and organized, all the towels, wash cloths, burp cloths, blankets, diapers, everything all put away. Got all the lotions and bath stuff put in the linen closet too. Just felt really good to get so much done.

The valance and hamper should be coming in next week so once we get those the room will be complete. Have a few things to hang up on the wall and thats that :D

CANT WAIT!

Also on the meds for one more week so we'll see what baby brings after that!

Week 34

Not too much going on this week. Had our appt...nothing really new there...they didnt check anything internally because didnt want to egg any on. I did lose 4 lbs though...weird being at home for a week not doing ANYTHING but you lose weight...just weird...but baby's taking it all from me...little stinker. I did have a sonogram...baby weighs about 5 1/2 lbs right now and right on track...so cute...

Week 33

Week 33 brought lots of excitement. First we had the shower for my side of the family. We could not have asked for anything more...we are so blessed and fortunate for all the stuff we have its ridiculous. We came home that Saturday night and were pooped...but then Sunday mom came back over and we went through everything again and it was just so much fun. Mom and Todd put together the swing and the travel system, organized a lot of the stuff and cleaned what we could. It was so much fun!!!

The shower was so much fun that I think i ended up overdoing it just a little bit. A little bit too much bending and reaching and walking...Saturday night i was pretty sore...just chalked it up to being tired. As the night went on I became more and more sore and the little contractions i'd been having for weeks started to have a lot of back pain associated with them. Sunday morning and day brought pretty much the same thing. A LOT of pressure down there and in my back, lots of back pain, lots of tightness. I thought to be safe i'd call the nurse and see if i should come in.

Monday morning i got a call back from the nurse and she told me to definitley come in for a little so i left work at 10:30 that morning and headed to the doc by myself just to get checked up. After the doc came in and checked me he said I was actually between 1 and 2 centimeters dilated and was 80% effaced...for fear that i was in a little preterm labor he sent me straight over to the hospital to get checked out. Once they hooked me up to the machines they realized my contractions were about 3-5 minutes apart and i was definitely going to continue into full labor if they didnt slow them down. All this going on and i had no idea!

So basically i stayed over night in the hospital, they gave me some meds to slow the contractions down, which worked...they gave me some shots of steroids to help the baby's lungs along just in case and sent me on my way Tues afternoon with my prescription to take for another 2 weeks to keep the contractions down.

Lastly, they threw in that i was done working. Nothing but bed rest for me from here on out. Not exactly what i wanted to hear, but whatever baby needs at this point. So that will be my life until baby comes...no driving, no cleaning, no nothing...just eat, sleep, bathroom and shower...thats the extent of my life...poor Toddles...

Here's a couple pictures of Week 33 and also from the shower...
