Week 39

UGH...Week 39 has come and gone and the little stinker is still clinging on. We had our appt Wed morning and a few things had progressed so they sent me over to be monitored for a little, but after a few hours and no changes they just sent me home. They think i'm in the first stage of labor, but nothings moving fast enough so here i wait.

Week 39 pics along with a couple others, the updated one of Toddles and myself as well as a Memorial Day family shot. Had the parentals over here on Monday for some cookout food. Was a REALLY nice time. Great weather, great food...company was ok too :D had a real real nice day.

Week 38

Week 38 brings yet another weekly check up with yet another ride home just Toddles and myself :D its good though at this point i can at least do stuff again and dont have to worry about bringing on early labor. i'm still being careful just cause i dont want to hurt baby or anything obviously, but i'm at least doing little things around the house again. last night i made Todd go for a walk with me and it felt so good to get out at least.

We had our check up this morning and all is great...baby is still doing wonderful, just swimming laps and cozy. Next week they'll do an internal check so hopefully at that point it will egg something on!

I'm also taking both belly shots and updated pictures with Todd at this point just to make sure i have them with him cause i dont feel like i have many with him during the pregnancy so just in case!

LOOK HOW HUGE THAT GUT IS!

Week 37

FULL TERM! So it seems as though baby was super impatient about 3 weeks ago but now the little stinker is holding on for dear life. Nothing exciting this week at the check up. Just listened to the heart beat and that was about it. Off the meds now...contractions have picked back up but nothing consistant or countable, so here in my chair is where I stay...most the time :D Now that its 'OK' to have baby, i've been a little more active...I CANT STAND SITTING HERE!

Just two other pictures also...one with Toddles and the other of him sleeping on the couch with me Saturday night. He decided to be supportive and sleep downstairs with me the one night since i've been down here for a month now. One night of his snoring and i sent him back upstairs though :D

good effort :P

Week 36

Week 36 brought much of the same...I ended up running to the store with mom for a short while Friday morning to get some last minute things so that was GREAT! i felt so much better about things once i had those last few things at home!

We also got to finish up the nursery for the most part. Only thing left to do is get the book case but thanx to Dad and Linda being super organized and keeping receipts on stuff they bought they were able to help me figure out where it was online so i just need to wait til it goes on sale!

Dad and Gram came up to visit for the weekend so that was great. We had lots of fun as usual. They were supposed to go watch the boys play hockey but a couple last minute injuries to Todd's foot and Tony's knee kept us all at home together. We watched both hockey games on Friday and Saturday night. Poor Caps. Poor Dad. Ok i'm over it ...GO PENS!!!!!

Mom was awesome...she knew i'd be useless so she brought over pans of food on Friday for us to all eat so Todd wouldnt be ashamed again of our horrible hosting abilities. It was a great weekend all around. Here are some pics...for week 36...then also some of the nursery and a few of the fam from the visit...

We have our check up tomorrow morning (Tuesday the 12th) and then i'll be 37 weeks (considered full term) on Wed...so thats really exciting. Baby did good staying in there for 3 more weeks!!!

Week 35

Week 35 brought lots of sitting on the couch, watching TV, eating, and Todd's side of the family's baby shower! so one of those things was pretty exciting :D We yet again had another GREAT shower where we received tons of great gifts. I can honestly tell you that we dont need a THING. Its pretty amazing how considerate people are. We had just expected since day one that we'd be purchasing most of our stuff off our registry because there was just so much on there and there was no WAY we'd get so much of it...but LITTLE DID WE KNOW!

Todd ended up coming with me to this shower so i wouldnt have to do anything...it ended up working out great. I sat in the chair beside him and he did all the work. It was great!

Afterwards we came home and crashed for the night. Sunday I had to wait for Todd to wake up and then we went through everything all over again. Did the organizing, Todd built the bouncy seat, the high chair, umbrella stroller, pack and play, travel swing, pretty much everything he could. He was having fun...we also just went through everything else and got to really organize some stuff, throw it all in the washer then head upstairs to put it all away. so once that was done we took a break for lunch. Then Todd and his dad went to pick up the tall dresser. Once they returned they set up the nursery and got all the furniture where it needed to go...then we started to put some things away. Got all the onesies in a drawer and organized, all the towels, wash cloths, burp cloths, blankets, diapers, everything all put away. Got all the lotions and bath stuff put in the linen closet too. Just felt really good to get so much done.

The valance and hamper should be coming in next week so once we get those the room will be complete. Have a few things to hang up on the wall and thats that :D

CANT WAIT!

Also on the meds for one more week so we'll see what baby brings after that!

Week 34

Not too much going on this week. Had our appt...nothing really new there...they didnt check anything internally because didnt want to egg any on. I did lose 4 lbs though...weird being at home for a week not doing ANYTHING but you lose weight...just weird...but baby's taking it all from me...little stinker. I did have a sonogram...baby weighs about 5 1/2 lbs right now and right on track...so cute...

Week 33

Week 33 brought lots of excitement. First we had the shower for my side of the family. We could not have asked for anything more...we are so blessed and fortunate for all the stuff we have its ridiculous. We came home that Saturday night and were pooped...but then Sunday mom came back over and we went through everything again and it was just so much fun. Mom and Todd put together the swing and the travel system, organized a lot of the stuff and cleaned what we could. It was so much fun!!!

The shower was so much fun that I think i ended up overdoing it just a little bit. A little bit too much bending and reaching and walking...Saturday night i was pretty sore...just chalked it up to being tired. As the night went on I became more and more sore and the little contractions i'd been having for weeks started to have a lot of back pain associated with them. Sunday morning and day brought pretty much the same thing. A LOT of pressure down there and in my back, lots of back pain, lots of tightness. I thought to be safe i'd call the nurse and see if i should come in.

Monday morning i got a call back from the nurse and she told me to definitley come in for a little so i left work at 10:30 that morning and headed to the doc by myself just to get checked up. After the doc came in and checked me he said I was actually between 1 and 2 centimeters dilated and was 80% effaced...for fear that i was in a little preterm labor he sent me straight over to the hospital to get checked out. Once they hooked me up to the machines they realized my contractions were about 3-5 minutes apart and i was definitely going to continue into full labor if they didnt slow them down. All this going on and i had no idea!

So basically i stayed over night in the hospital, they gave me some meds to slow the contractions down, which worked...they gave me some shots of steroids to help the baby's lungs along just in case and sent me on my way Tues afternoon with my prescription to take for another 2 weeks to keep the contractions down.

Lastly, they threw in that i was done working. Nothing but bed rest for me from here on out. Not exactly what i wanted to hear, but whatever baby needs at this point. So that will be my life until baby comes...no driving, no cleaning, no nothing...just eat, sleep, bathroom and shower...thats the extent of my life...poor Toddles...

Here's a couple pictures of Week 33 and also from the shower...

Week 32 and Easter

Week 32 brings MONTH 8. Still weird that you're pregnant for 10 months basically but there you have it. A little less than 2 months to go if we're lucky. I'm just hoping to make it to May 3rd then i dont care what happens after that. I'm very stressed and overwhelmed right now at work just with trying to get everything done and making sure all areas are covered before I go...but its just been very tiring. Long long days. This weekend was Easter...our last one before we have to start making baskets...good times :D We did the standard visiting to the parentals...but thats about it...week 32 pic along with one of the few I have of Todd and myself (we're laughing in the picture you can tell but oh well). I need to make sure to get some more before its all said and done. Next weekend is the shower already...unreal!

Week 31

Week 31 brought one of our last few 2 weeker appts...got to take the MIL to this one so that was fun...i think she enjoyed it :D Cracked me up standing up at the table with the doctor a couple times while I laid there...ha...it was pretty nice though to share that with her. Next appt Mom and Mia are going...so hope the docs prepared for that one :D

All is well though and right on track. Gained my lb per week and measuring right where i should be. Definitley starting to get more and more uncomfortable, but thats only the physical...still lovin being pregnant so we'll see how long that lasts :D

Week 30

Wow...Week 30...that is just kind of crazy and scary all at the same time. When i think of any pregnant girl in their 30 weeks i think 'oh they're near the end'. Just insane. only about 10 weeks or so left give or take here or there. Very exciting! So much going on...almost too much at times. Work has been more hectic than usual trying to train this new girl who's going to do my stuff while i'm gone. Its just been tiring and exhausting and draining. This weekend i have pretty much just laid around all weekend since Todd was off visiting Troy. It was a good time to just relax and not do anything so thats exactly what i did :D
Shirt look familiar to anyone :D

Week 29

Week 29 brought a visit from Dad and Uncle Kevin. Great time...always nice to see them, especially when i'm a horrible host and they end up doing all the cooking. yeah Todd yelled at me for that one later...i suck what can i say. All is well though...had our weekly check up appt this week...measuring one inch more than whats normal across my belly, but that pretty much goes in line with what EVERY person that comes across me says, that i just look bigger than 'normal' - whatever that means. I find it entertaining none the less...but regardless...all is well...gained 2 lbs since the last week so thats on target...trying to keep it to the one lb a week thats recommended, but its pretty hard. Baby is doing great and super active...kicks a lot during doctor visits, doesnt like being poked and messed with...as Todd tells me on a nightly basis when I'm 'playing' with the baby :D

Week 28

Week 28 brings MONTH 7!! Wow. As many MANY have said to me, because apparantly they think its funny, 'i cant believe there's still two months left'. Both my mother and aunt warned me that the women in this family tend to get large during pregnancy, and i guess they werent lying :D I honestly feel fine, the normal discomforts that come along with the whole process, but all is well...but it just makes me laugh the comments that people make to you, total strangers, friends, coworkers...cracks me up.

We had our check up this past Tuesday, our first two week check up, and all is well...still growing fine and lovely...belly measured a little big, but only by about an inch so nothing huge or to be concerned about. Glucose test came back good, so thats a relief. The stuff actually wasnt that bad to drink, but once it started to settle i started to get a little queasy.

We picked up the smaller dresser this week too but cant figure out how to set up the room. The tall dresser wont come for another month or so...so we're just hanging out with it til then...we'll do some shifting once we get all the pieces.

Last but not least...went to visit Court and Kel this weekend and see the little rascals. Todd and i watched Taylor on Friday night while Kel and Justin ran out to a surprise party, then Saturday morning Kel, Taylor and myself took a ride to visit Courtney and Alex for the day. Had a great time!

Here is week 28 pic along with some from the weekend...Week 29 will be posted this weekend after Dad leaves...(coming for a visit to see Tony and Todd...i'm just catering and hosting :D)

Week 27

My last week in month 6...hard to believe...the appts are down to 2 weeks apart, weight gain is apparantly ok for the doc, but for my own sake I'd like to slow down a little, baby is growing just perfectly and is active as can be, bh contractions still pretty frequent, have my glucose test this week so I may call ahead to the nurse to let her know the frequency just in case they want me to come in i can do both at once...that's about it...OH...and we built the crib :D

Lets just say i built the crib, Todd held it up and looked pretty because of course everything he tried to do was 'wrong' and i was just pretty sure i could do it better myself, so I did :D.

It looks awesome! So cute...and I cant wait to get the rest of it in !!!

Week 26

Week 26...big week...literally. Apparantly last weekend i must have done a little growing which i dont really notice too much but a stranger and a good handful of people at work were nice enough to point it out so i guess i have to take their word for it :D
Week 26 also brought a lot of stress...we decided to try and refinance our house in order to get some lower rates. In the process we had to get a new appraisal on our house. There were a few things i wanted done (painting of the nursery and SERIOUS organization of downstairs) before the appraiser came, so unfortunately that meant A LOT of work for Todd this past week. He was kind enough (after a few slight life threatening conversations) to forego the gym and make every night this past week a work week. The appraiser is coming tomorrow morning at 8:30 so we were a little limited on time with A LOT to do. We bought the paint and started organizing downstairs last week as early as possible but it just ended up being such a project. This week is going to feel like vacation without the nightly workouts!

I definitley did a lot more this week than i probably should have and baby was sure to let me know it, but i just felt bad with all Todd was doing because it was stuff I was totally capable of doing...until about 6 months ago. He's been great though and our house looks AMAZING right now!!!! The nursery is all painted and looks wonderful, so happy with the color we went with, Aqua Bay...matches the bedding real nice. Not sure i like the glider in there but we can figure that out later. Got the closet all put together, the downstairs is actually back to a little sitting/rec room, the laundry room is functional the garage is super organized. I feel so GREAT about it!

Here is week 26 along with some pictures of our projects...
